Addison's 1 year well baby.

This was a big weekend for Addison! She started using a sippy cup, rather than a bottle and she is off of formula and is now on whole milk. Her 1 year well baby appointment went very well. She is 22LBS 9.6 Ounces and she is 29 1/2 inches long. Developmentally she is right on track and honestly is adorable! She smiles all the time! She has a lot to say just like her sister, but we can't quite make it all out yet. She loves to follow her big sister all around and tries to play with all of her toys! She has really loved all of her new gifts that she got for Christmas and her birthday. We are truly blessed with wonderful family and she received a lot of nice gifts.
Charlie finally went back to school and the snow days are over for now. She had a blast today and is so excited about this week. They are learning the letter D so this week they are having donuts and daddy day on Thursday and she is so excited about that! Tomorrow Charlie Mae and me are going to see Shrek the musical and I just know we are going to have a blast! I can't wait to hear what she has to say about that! Yesterday she was so funny. She was going outside to play and she didn't want to wear her gloves so her Nana said 'Charlie, you better put your hands in your pockets, its cold out there. Charlie looked at her Nana and in a real serious voice said 'I'm going to play, I'll probably need my hands!'. Oh that kid is so funny!!

Clydes Slides!

Tonight we went to a birthday party for a boy in Charlie's class and we all had a blast! It was at one of those places that has jumpers and slides... Even Addison had fun in the toddler bounce house. Charlie was a little nervous at first and was apprehensive of the slides and the 'big kid' jumpers but she warmed up fast. She decided to try out the high slide with her daddy! They had a blast. It was a really tall slide. Scott said it was so fast that it took his breath away. Charlie only went the one time but after that she wasn't scared to go on the other slides. We all had a great time! They had a Toy Story 3 theme which Charlie loved and the cake was a giant potato head. Charlie really enjoyed playing with all her friends from school and she made some new friends tonight too! It was all too cute! Addison was so brave. In the mini jumper and she actually started walking while holding my hand.

Addison playing in her tunnel!

Addison and Charlie Mae have been having a blast inside during these snow days! They spend most of their days climbing on daddy, but lately they have been crawling through this tunnel! Addison's personality is really shining through. She is into everything and has a mind of her own. She loves to follow her big sister around and they play well together. I'm sure they are both ready for the snow to disappear so they can go back outside!

Happy Birthday Addison Marie!

Addison's birthday was an amazing day! I can't believe a year has gone by... She is beautiful and very healthy. Her party was fantastic and we all had a great time! Its funny because I honestly threw it together at the last minute. Last minute reminder text messages went out and I ordered the cupcakes the day before and bought a ton of PINK 1st birthday decorations! The house looked amazing... We had pink balloons everywhere, pink candy, and pink cocktails! It was all beautiful. I was proud, hahaha!!! The birthday girl was so happy too. She had a delightful day. We got some great pictures too! She was so funny with her cupcake... She picked the candle right out and put it in her mouth, then she just dove into the cupcake! It was hilarious!
She had a ton of gifts!! Thanks to Auntie Karen, Uncle Tom, Yaya, Papa, Auntie Jennifer & Uncle Brett! They all sent so many gifts and she loved them all. Nana & Papa helped us get her a new car seat, which is awesome!! My Uncle Richard & Scott's Aunt Caroline contributed too! The party itself was a blast. Scott's cousin Richie & his wife Tonya came w/their 2 little girls Emma and Molly. The 3 girls had a blast playing in Charlie's room! They had so much fun... It really was a good party. It was wonderful to be with family and I'm so grateful to everyone who came and remembered her birthday. Its has been so hard on me to be away from my family but everyone here helped me celebrate my baby and that was awesome.
It's crazy to think a year ago I had a baby girl. We were supposed to have her on the 14th but when we got to the hospital they sent us home! The hospital was closed that day! LOL... It was so strange. The night before I was terrified to have the C-section. For some reason I was so scared. I just didn't believe I was going to wake up. Remember I have to be put completely under because I can't have any medicine w/my back. I was up almost all night. I was just overwhelmed w/fear. However the next day when went back to have her the 2nd time I wasn't scared at all. For some reason that day I felt safe. I know its strange but I wasn't scared. We got to the hospital and everything went smooth. We had a nice experience. My beautiful baby girl was born a healthy 7.6 lbs and 19 inches long. She was perfect. She had beautiful blue eyes and a head full of dark hair. She was beautiful. Scott was so proud!! I didn't see her for awhile but she was w/her daddy the entire time. Scott has been amazing with Addison since the moment she was born. And even more so today. It is obvious she is daddy's girl. They are very tight!

Neil Diamond, you know I love you but...

Ok, So everyone and anyone who knows me knows that I love Neil Diamond and I grew up loving Neil Diamond. I have seen him in concert more than 10 times and I have even scored FRONT ROW tickets to one of his shows in Las Vegas! An even added bonus is that I have dragged Scott to a concert. In fact I remember one time going with Justin and he had such a great time, but his reason was, "Sarah, I laughed so hard and had so much fun watching you have the best time!"... Gotta love my brother. Now I can sing every word and I dance the whole time and I enjoy the entire show, as it is always great. Now it could have been the seats in the suite, it could have been the small venue, it could have the intense ENERGY as everyone in the audience sang every single word, or it could have been the complimentary wine, beer and food, it might have even been the good company, or it could have been the fact that I had "hard to get" "not doing general shows" TICKETS!... Just before Christmas Scott and I scored at the last minute awesome tickets to see GARTH BROOKS! And let me tell you it was the best concert I have ever been to. We had so much fun. Everyone really enjoyed it. Trisha Yearwood came out and sang several songs. He did a very large tribute to the US Marine Corps. He had so much energy, his voice was awesome and the show itself was phenomenal. We had a blast! It was great... I have some picture on my cell phone, so I don't know how clear they are but I will post them. It was an awesome oppertunity and it made me love my job even more!
